Countdown to the 25th….will history rhyme? I am as sad as any American with the death of the US Ambassador to Libya this week. And even more so because this morning we are seeing huge angry crowds in Egypt which are threatening violence, again. Pardon me but “Warning, warning, collision imminent!”
What’s at the root of the problem? As I see it one-dimensional thinking in the development of US foreign policy. You see, this was all pretty well laid out in general terms of what’s ahead for the world (Balkanization) in the June 13 issue of Peoplenomics this year in a piece titled “What’s Ahead in ‘Thieves World.‘”
The blind-spot of politicians (and political appointees) is that they fail to appreciate the size and scope of one faction of the PowersThatBe…the crime families which (as you should know) make gobs of money in smuggling, human trafficking, and drugs in the Middle East, South America, and yep, even our old friends in “The Brotherhood” – the Russian mob.
Let me bring you up to speed a bit with a quote from that June article:
“In a very real sense, the greater Balkanization of Europe would be accomplished rather neatly by using this intermediate step of the European Union to first break down specific national laws and barriers, and then deliberately bankrupting that structure quickly enough so that individual nations would have a difficult time reconstructing the former economy and law enforcement capability.
This would work neatly to the advantage of the drug cartels, which are in fact likely are a large chunk of the real-deal PTB: the world crime syndicate. This world crime syndicate likely works in other ways: such strategies as naked shorting it could be argued are ideal ways to launder money. Yep, likely why all the good investigative stories heading for prime time get spiked…sorry, you’ve been out-bid.
The breakdown of the international police organization (Interpol) might result from a creatively orchestrated disintegration of the European Union, which would then further the objectives and agendas of the world crime syndicate.
Naturally, since the foundational revenue streams of the global crime syndicate is cash-based, there’s an open question what direction paper money will follow. To be sure, an electronic version of loan-sharking works just as well as paper money (which paper money is in an inflation/devaluation model anyway) but what about money to buy drugs? Tough ones for the cartel side, but clearly cash is king, at least for now in that world.
At the same time, because the emergent world crime syndicate has likely structured close relations with radical elements of the Islamic faith, there would be payoffs for them as well, since we can see the outlines already of the West losing the strategic battles as the Project for the New American Century turns out to have been a very bad idea. By moving internal Islamist agendas forward in target countries the odds are extremely good that Islam will be reinvigorated, and because they’re cut of the global crime syndicate could be substantial, they would be in a greatly enhanced financial position from which to prosecute further expansionism.
Now, this is only a framework for discussion and further research. However, it answers a number of critical questions: one of them is who are the powers that be – and that comes more clearly into focus and the seemingly “random” news events script neatly into the power-shared world. ”
You can get a sense of what has happened:
-
The crime families/cartel had allowed Arab Spring to go forward to push non-US-aligned Islamic regimes into power. What we were sold as democratization has just bitten our ass.
-
At the same time, they likely made big money on the near (and still possible) collapse of Europe which has to potential to disassemble Interpol. Not to mention get back to the good old days of smuggling from their perspective. Uniform laws are a pain in the business model.
-
But now, with less US-leaning regimes in power, I expect we will see something like a great artwork unveiling, where we see that 15-years of wrong-headed foreign policy turns out to have been a horrible mistake promoted by one-dimensional thinkers who neglected the critical role of Narcodollars.
At the same time, however, the full-court press for “electronic money” has been underway on the US/West side, because international crime becomes a lot less profitable if every cent is tracked – and taxed. Might even be used as a way to link “terrorism” to private gold and silver ownership as things develop. “If you have money OUTSIDE our system you MUST be a terrorist…” right?
Sad as current headlines are, I’m afraid there is much more to come, as we’re not involved strictly in an ideological war with militant Islam (versus runaway capitalism of the 1 percent). There’s a second, third, and even fourth level to this chessboard: The Crime Cartel division of the PTB, the aikido/jujitsu move of which is using our own (misplaced desire for regime-change) against us. This was slick: PNAC did half the militant mullah’s work! How? By moving “new” Islamic regimes forward, thus making the eventual extremist regime change all that much easier.
OH: And then at a fourth level, bleeding us dry in the process. Which gets us to…
Watching Oil for Clues
You’ll read that oil prices are down a bit this morning on “concerns about the global economy.” But, as an astute reader, you no doubt also read that “Oil prices up after attack on US consulate in Libya.”
Well, for now, we’re watching the chart here to see if we best the $110 level posted in late February of this year.
The reason we need to watch that? It will likely go hand-in-hand with someone raising interest rates, which might push stocks up (gold and silver too) but in the end, raised rates would assure another drop down for the economy within months.
No, that $9 gas in Jersey and Pennsylvania is not related to globaltics. That’s a Lukoil protest.
I shouldn’t even mention the Baltic Dry *(cargo) index is now only 13 points (if memory serves…and it’s early) from its 2008-2009 lows, so with the Fed announcement this afternoon, I figure hawkish talkish could set off a crashy-dashy. Unless the full-bull scenario comes, but I’m not overly confident of that one.
Returning to the World Stage
“All the world is a stage…” said the Bard. So on Stage 2 this morning, we note that turmoil is going on outside the US Embassy in Yemen.
All of this – the whole “We’ve been snookered” idea – promoted by the Project for a New American Century, leaves us to wondering was that the great Israeli Mistake in Clif’s data runs, or is that just about to roll out?
Israel Preps – Game On
While the US has initiated some level of response, redirecting a couple of Navy ships to the Libya area, we still note the US reported ship deployments are at very “thin” levels: Only four carriers out and only two amphibious assault ships.
More Curious: Canada has just extended the deployment length possible for Canadian Forces members…Effective: 15 Sept. which is what? Odd timing, but the drum beat gets louder.
But Israel? A different story entirely. One reader email sums it up this way:
“My brother and his family live in Jerusalem [redacted] and his office is close to one of Israel’s largest underground military bases. He called me last night which is very unusual – usually it is email. He called to tell me that he is sending his family back to the US immediately due to what he is seeing happen within the last week and what he is being told by his military contacts in both the Israel and US military.
He said he is seeing with his own eyes military movements the likes of which he has never seen in his 20+ years in Israel. What he called a massive redeployment and protective tactics of forces is underway. Over the last two days he has seen anti-aircraft missile deployments throughout the Jerusalem area including 3 mobile units that he can see from his office windows. In addition, he has seen very large Israeli armored columns moving fast toward the Sinai where Egypt has now moved in Armor.
There are reports of the top military leaders meeting with Israel’s Sr. Rabi which is something that has happened preceding every prior military campaign. His admonition is to watch carefully and pray for Israel and its people. He is convinced that barring something extraordinary Israel will attack Iran – with or without the US – and very soon.
It is the belief in Israel that Obama does not stand with Israel but with the Arab countries. He has told me before that Israel will saber rattle from time to time but that this time is very different from what he is seeing and hearing. He was at the Wailing Wall 2 days ago and there were hundreds of IDF soldiers there. As he was leaving he passed at least 20 military buses full of soldiers in route to the wall. He has never seen this before either.
My brother is not an alarmist by any means. When he talks like this it gets my attention for sure and usually I find he knows more than he shares. There are reports that Israel is asking Obama to come to Israel immediately but they are being answered with silence. My opinion is that I see the making of the perfect storm with Yom Kippur happening on the 25th.”
It’s not a bad guess…but only that. The tactical reality is that if there was an attack on Egypt, the recent Egyptian-Iranian intelligence talks reported in the Israeli press would become very meaningful.
Hillary Said What?
Meantime, there’s a report (Russia Today) little-noticed earlier this week that SecState Hil said the ‘US doesn’t need UN to oust Assad’.
This strikes me like the US dressing up as a runaway rogue GlobalCop (but without authority) given than her secretariness ostensibly began life as a lawyer..due process, yada, yada.
And where is congress? Oh, how convenient: Going home the day before Yom Kippur…how utterly convenient in case ruling by decree is needed… good grief!
The Chess Game View
If you squint your eyes just so, you can see that both sides are maneuvering to get “back up chess pieces” in place. If fighting breaks out and Egypt were to try and recover lands lost in the 1973 (the previous Yom Kippur War date) then it is possible to likely that Syrian would support Egypt – and likely now, so would Iran.
Recall that the Shah of Iran was in power back then…so Iran was neutral and pretty much on the US leash. It was that way until Ayatollah Khomeini and hardliners forced the shah out and took power in 1979.
As any Grand Master of chess would see it, there are two games in play here: A higher level game between factions of the PowersThatBe. Industrialists faction, crime cartels faction, Chinese/Asia/South America faction, Russian, and all the rest. That’s one game.
The other is the game in play in the Middle East with Israel prepping like there is no tomorrow. But of course, there will be a tomorrow, but by June of next year, that would be a different question. Game two there.
So as a student of chess, this morning, we wonder if the Project for a New American Century which was so warmly embraced by the political right, wasn’t indeed a set-up by Dominionists for their ultimate Biblical showdown in the Middle East?
Slap that timer, would you? I think the next move is ours. About the only thing clear is that the game should be over by next summer. With the larger question hanging: Who will around at The End?
Shaky Ending?
In case you missed it on the local news last night…some serious discussion is floating about centering on the possibility of a volcano erupting in SoCal.
Lemme see here….who said “The Movie is the Message”? Seen the movie Volcano lately?

Filling in blanks: Have about a third of the waters bittered now (*Fuku and BP spill), so everything seems to be filling in nicely for End of Worlders. DA 14 might be the sky object around Feb 15…so yep, quite a script, huh?
Prepping Goes Prime Time
Reader Mark has been watching TV and sees the change and building stresses, too:
“George, I am a huge sports fan and have to have my daily dose of ESPN’s Sports Center before I go to bed…and tonight, I saw an ad I have never seen before…being marketed to sports fans…from Ready.gov on disaster preparedness. The well produced visuals showed a family “prepping” and walking out the door of their home with water jugs, etc. What surprises me is the placement of this very expensive time slot by Ready.gov on a mass media, uber-popular sports channel. I can understand placing this TV spot on Discover, Science, SyFY, History, H2 channels, because it reaches the prepper audience on stations that program such shows. I am not the only one who feels that prepping is still a “fringe” activity. ESPN is the Number One Cable Prime Time Show with Adults 18-49!!! Definitely not fringe…is our government trying to make this a more serious issue…like maybe saying…hey fans..it’s time to prep“
Maybe people in Washington have seen this coming in their lookingglass, you think? You notice the underground addition to the White House was done just in the knick of time for whatever comes next?
A couple of readers wondered how big an $86-million addition is: hard telling, but I can do new construction for $100 a square foot ex land cost, so government ought to come in about $500 a square foot, so maybe $172,000 square feet on three or four levels…I like he 43,000 square feet on each of four levels idea.
And from our word-counting server project, comes this from Grady our project manager:
“The prep may have begun this morning on Fox News when a retired military officer said, “If they kill four of us then we kill four hundred of them. That’s the only thing they understand.”
Hints of Inflation to Come?
Looked at the Producer Price Index this morning:
“The Producer Price Index for finished goods rose 1.7 percent in August, seasonally adjusted, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. This increase followed advances of 0.3 percent in July and 0.1 percent in June, and marks the largest monthly rise since a 1.9-percent increase in June 2009. At the earlier stages of processing, prices received by manufacturers of intermediate goods moved up 1.1 percent in August, and the crude goods index rose 5.8 percent. On an unadjusted basis, prices for finished goods climbed 2.0 percent for the 12 months ended August 2012, the largest advance since a 2.8-percent increase for the 12 months ended March 2012.”
Pencils out at the Crude Goods level to a 5.8% annualized rate of increase and the only question is how much of that will start to fall out the intermediate and finished goods pipe in 90-120 days? That’s when we may see some big upticks in consumer prices – January/February. How much depends on how much more automation and cost reducing is left.
But you did see layoffs are showing up again? HP is axing another 2,000. Lots of smaller layoff notes to be found in a Google of it.
One last Thing
If you ain’t hearing the drumbeat of war yet – get your hearing checked.
More after this…
