Perot’s Got It Right

One-time presidential contender Ross Perot (who some conspiracy types thinks was blackmailed/threatened out of the 1992 presidential vote festival) was talking about the choices this fall and says he won’t endorse either Romney or Obama.  Reason?  Simple economics and the coming fiscal cliff we walk off next year.

Along with this, though, Perot is very supportive of the efforts fo ffomer comptroller general David Walker who is telling anyone who will listen how dire the nation’s financial condition is.

Since the web bot run is out early, this is particularly poignant:  Since one reason Clif released the bot report Sunday to keep ahead of breaking developments.  So, by 24-hours or so, he beat the arrival of a ‘truth Walker.”  Way cool.  (<— This makes more sense after reading the bot run…but my, ain’t language savory?

“Crack the Mirror” Week?

Maybe the MSM (mainstreammedia) won’t notice that the whole “mirror of society” is showing cracks appearing in it, but to the aware reader, this morning’s assortment of headlines is nearly ostrich-like, with only sand missing.

While the presidential wannabes continue duking it out in the polls, we’d point out that any media that is continuing to parrot positional power referentials, specifically the terms president and governor, has already been sucked into partisanship in the mock-choice before us.  Gotta love Perot for getting it right.

You see, just as nothing changed between the Bush era and the Obama era, and so too, we don’t expect much will change from 2013 on regardless of whether it’s the Obama second term or the Mittster’s first coming up in January.

The reason?  The world is very much an interlocked complex system which works with clocklike-precision.  Money goes into “local causes” and is bundled according to the needs and whims of the K-Street Mafia, and they simply by a continuation of the corporate-government alliance.  Sure, there’s muttering of “grassroots” this and that’s, but it’s all money and it’s all about brokering.

This is why – despite overwhelming public outrage and opposition – bills which don’t fix problems – fixing balance sheets instead – are passed by Congress and signed rote by the whoever the present “decider” is.  Nice act.

Not saying it’s “bad” but let’s call it what it is...  So while the rest of the country is off voting for more of the same old crap (crap “a” versus crap “b”) I’ll be “wasting” my vote on Gary Johnson, the Libertarian candidate on the ballot in 47-states since he’s an outsider at the 50-year party of insiders.  I mean, sure the Tea Party sounded like a good idea, but in the end, it was just another myth and no real change has come of it yet.  Slick, huh?

A nation shouldn’t have to negotiate its healthcare and end up with a system where taxes levied to pay for it will land in corporate investor pockets, but that’s the whole thrust of how things worked in the interlocko’ed world of Washington.  Government and corporations are merging right and left – and you need only look at privitization of the prison systems for examples.

With the Middle East war being pushed back into Clif’s 2013 window (more on the new bot run out in the Coping section), we should have relative calm until the earth-changes kick up in December to set off…..oh, hold that thought.  Let’s finish the news items first…

Seasonals will be weighing on the markets as  the week progresses, and the capper will come Friday with the unemployment report for September which we will (rather inconveniently) compare with September of 2008.  Change?  Ha!

MSM and LIGAS News

Lacking an ambassador assassination, and with a continuing of more or less standard bombing attacks in the war zones, we notice a predictable upturn in “Infotainment stories” to play their predictable role of bread and circuses.

For example, there was Lindsay Lohan’s NY hotel room story and here’s a biggie which has kept me on the edge of my chair all week:  Pussy Riot hearing in Moscow has been postponed.

OK, Ure….so what is Ure point and what is LIGAS News?

LIGAS is “Like I Give a Sh*t” news.  Similar to (and often interchangeable with)  LIFM news.  (I assume you remember that means “Like It F’ing Matters.”)  Newsfotainment…works with tranks for the obo’s (obsolete peeps).

(I may have been unplugged from the cultural paradigm too long to remember the transition is gradual and comes over years of slow adjustment and study.)

Getting to the REAL Issues

Seaking of which: We notice that Occupy Corporatism is warning of an *(alleged) corporate plan to steal money from everyone they can with a “fake Muslim Cyber Attack.”

In an earlier period of human history, they wouldn’t have the gaul to attempt such a thing, but with the corporate-government merger nearly complete and massive police powers, well….unlimited power corrupts absolutely, huh?

Special Monday In Depth Focus

Geryl’s Quake Hit

At the risk of writing a Peoplenomics issue this morning:  A number of people wrote in short congratulatory messages for Patrick Geryl based on his prediction of a 7+ quake around September 29 th.  That prediction was neatly filled by the quake in Colombia Sunday:  Magnitude 7.3.

So, how does he feel about this?

“I calculated 7+… nothing larger…   but strong K7 this night!     calculated strong X flare for 28-29… but look here:

# FAST WARNING ‘PRESTO’ MESSAGE  from SIDC (RWC-Belgium) #

#——————————————————————–#

An interplanetary shock wave was detected yesterday by ACE around 22:15 UT and by SOHO/CELIAS at 22:21 UT. The solar wind speed jumped from 310 km/s to 395 km/s and the interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) magnitude jumped from 7 nT to 15 nT. The solar wind speed in the post-shock flow reached 450 km/s, indicating that the shock was driven by the ICME corresponding to the full halo CME observed on the Sun on September 28. The IMF magnitude reached 22 nT and was directed southward right after the shock, with north-south IMF component Bz reaching -20 nT. This led to geomagnetic storm conditions (Kp = 7 reported by NOAA and local K = 5 reported by Dourbes and IZMIRAN today after midnight). Currently the IMF is directed steadily northward and the geomagnetic activity is decreasing. As the IMF magnitude remains elevated (around 15 nT), further geomagnetic disturbances are not excluded.”

“C flares velocities where the strength of an X!

September 26 – October 1: Long (almost) Triple Line Up: Pluto – Mars –Mercury

Conclusion: Large M flare and filament eruption is possible

Sep 26 – 30, 2012: Conjunction Uranus – Earth and the Sun

Conclusion: Large M flare (even an X) and filament eruption possible.

same like July 23!   => reason: long Triple Line Up like on July 23 (was backsided!)   velocity then was around 3500 km/sec!!! “

We’re not really out of the woods on quakes until this Friday, since as he noted last week:

October 1, 2012: Line Up Mercury – Moon – Earth

October 1 – 2, 2012: Line Up Saturn – Moon – Earth

October 2 – 5, 2012: Long Triple Line Up: Neptune – Earth – Venus

October 3 – 4, 2012: Line Up Mars – Moon – Earth

October 3 – 6, 2012: Long Triple Line Up: Earth – Mercury – Saturn

October 5, 2012: Line Up Jupiter – Moon – Earth ”

[Speaking of which, Robin Handler noted in the Options Signal Service predictions for this week that : "On Oct 4 Mars conjuncts the Moon’s North Node and Jupiter turns retrograde. These are big events. The next day Saturn enters Scorpio. Another way to say this is: These are big and bad events. Something big will happen around this time, and It will not be good. Keep an eye on the Mid East. "]

There’s more on coming earth changes on Patrick’s site, but the outlook for December is that we’ll get major quaking and shaking because of all the planetary line-ups in that period.  As we laid them out as of September 4th:

The Megaquakes of December 2012

December 2 – 3, 2012: Conjunction Earth – Jupiter and the Sun

December 3, 2012: Opposition Neptune – Mercury across the Sun

December 3, 2012: Opposition Uranus – Venus across the Sun

December 10 – 13, 2012: Opposition Uranus – Mercury across the Sun

December 14, 2012: Line Ups: Pluto – Moon – Earth and Mars – Moon – Earth

December 12 – 16, 2012: Triple Line Up Neptune – Mars – Venus (strong

December 14) December 17, 2012: Line up: Neptune – Moon – Earth December 16 – 18, 2012: Triple Line Up Jupiter – Earth – Mercury (strong December 17)

December 17 – 18, 2012: Conjunction Venus – Mercury and the Sun December 17 – 18, 2012: Conjunction Ceres – Earth December 19, 2012: Conjunction Saturn – Mercury and the Sun

December 20, 2012: Line Up: Uranus – Moon – Earth

December 21, 2012: Conjunction Saturn – Venus and the Sun

December 20 – 24, 2012: Triple Line Up Neptune – Mars – Mercury (strong

December 22) December 21 – 24, 2012: Triple Line Up Jupiter – Earth – Venus (strong December 22 – 23)

December 23, 2012: Line Up: Saturn – Moon – Earth

December 25, 2012: Line Up: Jupiter – Moon – Earth

Say what you will about Patrick’s work, the quakes are showing up on his schedule and interestingly enough, the pattern is not intuitive.  For example, there was one astronomical/quake study a long time ago that suggested that quakes tend to come in the final quarter of the moon.  Yet the Colombia quake this weekend was clearly in full moon time.

As of this morning, my odds on significant quaking around December 10-22 is up to 10-15r%, or so.  This is subject to revision when our friend reader Tony R sends in the latest month’s number crunch off the USGS database so we can look where trends are going.  And, of course, if we get additional 7+ activity between now and Friday…

OK…that’s quakes….or at least PART of the story.  But wait!  There’s More!

Texaquakes & Sinkhole Truth

So how are quakes, fracking, injection wells, and sinkholes to be considered?

And, I suppose one could wonder “Gee, was that series of 3.4 in the Dallas area part of this?”

Nope.  My pal Oilman2 who’s an old hand in the oil patch says blow this one off your worry list:

The Dallas one is right down the road from over a hundred injection wells NW of Ft. Worthless….so throw it out.

As we have reported previously, fracking doesn’t necessarily cause quakes, but the water-injection wells?  Oh, gee, that somehow got fuzzed up in the mind of the general public.  On purpose, of course.

But, so long as we’re poking piles of snelly stuff with sharp sticks this morning, Oilman2 also had some very interesting observations about the sinkhole in Louisiana that has end-of-worlders all worked up…  Oilman2 the floor is yours…

“OK – here’s the straight skinny on the sinkhole.   Brine is used by oil companies as a production fluid – heavy brine works like drilling mud to hold back geopressure so you can control a well that has been drilled to work on it without having the gas pressure (sometimes 10-20kpsi) blow out the well.

It is also used to wash the dirty drilling mud out of the perforations and gravel screens in the well to improve gas production.

[Redacted] is a subsidiary of [Redacted], which is a huge supplier of brines (NaCL, KCl, CaBr and others) for the oil and gas production guys.

They “mine” these heavy brines by drilling into a salt dome and liquefying the salts. A salt dome is a salt intrusion, where hot molten salt has been squeezed up a vertical fault to a shallow depth.

Avery Island (where they grow Tabasco peppers and make the sauce) is a salt mine on top of a salt dome, and has a tourist gig to let people go into the mine.

You are underground and under a swamp when in the mine.   When they dissolve the salt to mine brine, they assume that by replacing it with brine the integrity of the dome will be fine (because fluid is incompressible).

To help insure this, they pump diesel or oil into the brine mix to avoid the upper part of the brine pocket from dissolving the salt. Oil and diesel float, and so the top of the cavern isn’t exposed to water.

They assume geopressure will prevent and limit the salt from dissolving the used mining cavern laterally. Only so much salt can go into solution, and once saturation is reached, the dissolving stops.

This has been done for decades in the Gulf Coast, as it sits on top of bedrock with a layer of salt above it. The entire Gulf of Mexico, from Cuba to Mexico sits on top of a salt layer, and drilling through this salt is what defines a “sub-salt” well in the Gulf of Mexico area.

These salt domes run from deep offshore into northerm Louisiana, Mississippi and East Texas. There are many just southeast of Palestine.   (Which is why we have gas at 8,600′ and oil at 10,200′ on our property, but not subsurface rights here at the ranch – G)

As a general rule, when a cavern collapses underground, the roof does not fall in any more than the sides slam together – from surrounding pressure. They work this out to determine the maximum size of the brine cavern before they start brine mining. They assume the salt is uniform, as it historically is.

IF there was a crack (fault) in the salt dome that allowed the cavern brine to seep out, over time it would widen the crack by dissolving itself. This weakens the cavern and enlarges it, and could be a simple explanation of what happened to [Redcated] brine well (which was plugged and abandoned last year).

This one was different, and the crack let the brine water seep out (or fresh water seep in, which would be worse as it dissolves more salt) and eventually the cavern collapsed.

The result was the sinkhole, and this explains the diesel smell all over the place and the visible sheen on the water around the sinkhole – from the diesel pumped in when the well was capped to prevent dissolving the cavern roof.

The tremors they are talking about are probably real, and within 3-5000 feet from surface. They would be felt but not register seismically, especially since there aren’t many seismographs in the Mississippi Delta (no seismic activity so why monitor, which is why the offshore earthquakes are always larger than the USGS says – the monitoring is far removed from the source).

The tremors would be the cavern and the formations above it settling into a mix of briny water, which acts as a lubricant.   The information will continue to be heavily edited due to the liability of Louisian DNR and [redacted the brine maker]  – they are already sued about this and so they will just say nothing until the suits are settled (and they will be settled under sealed documents too).

Yes, it might get bigger. Yes – there will probably be a salty lake there in the future, which could spread and contaminate aquifers and surface waters. Yes, the local ecosystem will have to change. Yes – fish kill is likely. Yes – bubbling all around is going to continue, and the bubbling is natural gas coming out of solution in the water from deposits around the salt dome.        All will have to wait and see.

Yet – worse things have happened -  Did you ever read up on the Lake Peigneur disaster in November of 1980?

Fine in-depth reporting from Oilman2…So there you have it…the real low-down on the collapsing brine mines, the smell of oil and all the rest.  No, it is not the Gulf Coast sinking into the Gulf of Mexico due to some coastal event…at least not yet

Do Oilman2 and I worry about other salt domes?  Oh….uh….sure.  But the only dome that REALLY matters, to my thinking, is the Tatum Dome up in Mississippi.  And what does that matter so much?

Well….to make a long story longer….there were a couple of underground nuclear explosions set off there as part of Project Dribble which were two underground nuclear explosions set off to see if nations could set off underground nuke tests without being detected by using (care to guess?) salt formations.

The first blast there was in solid salt (1964 Project Salmon) and then it was followed by Project Sterling, which set off a second blast in the (now highly radioative cavern) created by the Salmon blast.

We don’t know of any water penetration of that salt formation, but that would be (how do I put this?) interesting.  But no worries, since that dome was not used for brining.  Could there be water leakage in?  Sorry…above our pay grade.

But in the meantime, we look at last week’s move in Mississippi to green light close-in offshore drilling and wonder how long before gas and oil are found inland?  And that could lead to brine development? And put a big X there because that’s when the fun begins.

But let’s hold back on the future-tripping….no need for that, although reading articles like this one do make us wonder about what’s ahead in brine-mining.

But no worries (Ha!).  It’s something much more straightforward for now:  Ma Nature is simply doing a payback though paybacks are a bitch.  Usually delivered (till next year?) mainly by lawyers.

More after this…
