“Say what???” Oh…uh….just the start of WW III in 11 days…. And all this from Hurricane Sandy? Oh boy…hot cup of coffee on this here this email which rolled in from G.A. “Stu” Stewart of heavy-duty Nostradamus research and books which you can read more about at his website here.
But as you’ll read in his email, things are coming together in a really discomforting way:
“George, Two notes:
Remember what I said about 1997 as a dry run for Armageddon, how about the 1997 Simulated Sandy that hit New York!
Got that one from Northeast Intelligence Network, which I also cite below. Second Note: Copied this from my updated book. It probably will never get out in time, but this is how i see it. Note the last Nostradamus’ prediction, the Presage month is November. To date the Obama Administration has not properly answered why there was no attempt made to rescue the men trapped at the Benghazi consulate/CIA station on September 11th, 2012.
On October 27th, 2012 it was reported that Rear Admiral. Charles M. Gaouette, the commander of the USS John C. Stennis aircraft carrier strike group, which just returned to the Middle East, was relieved of command.
This event is very unusual and it suggests that this might be the result of the consulate siege in Benghazi. It is an ominous sign that there is dissension in the military with the Obama Administration. The Northeast Intelligence Network appears to have the most credible sources on what happened on September 11th , 2012.
It appears that we are very close to war with Russia, just as I had written in my 2010 EBook, and just as I explained in the Nostradamus’ quatrain above. h
If their sources are correct, that Iranian Special Forces were responsible for the Benghazi attack and the Obama Administration did nothing, and then later sent Obama’s Senior Advisor Valarie Jarrett to Qatar on October 6th, 2012 to negotiate an agreement with the Iranians on their nuclear weapons program, then I am quite sure that the United States military’s feathers have been ruffled.
I suspect that the attack on Iran and Syria will happen simultaneously on November 9th, 2012. For starters, this day provides symmetry to the 2012 London Olympics Opening Ceremony.
There are symbolic and arcane associations with the lighting of the Olympic Torch on July 28th, 2012.
According to the Jewish calendar that was the 9th of Av. The ninth day of the eleventh month in the Jewish calendar has seen many historic and epic days; most notably it is the day on which both the First and Second Temples in Jerusalem were destroyed.
The October 24th, 2012 long range Israeli bombing attack on an Iranian Shehab missile factory in Sudan has been touted as the dry run to an attack on Iran.
This raid suggests that the attack on Iran will quickly follow the U.S. Presidential election, especially if Romney wins.
This is what I now see as possible, and if you read my 2008 Website Introduction, you can read that I thought it would happen to Obama. Just as the 2000 Presidential election unfolded, on November 7th, 2012 in a very close election, the Supreme Court must rule on contested election votes.
On November 9th, 2012, with Mitt Romney the apparent undeclared winner, NATO military leaders begin their assault on Syria, which then immediately engages Israel, Iran, Hezbollah, and Lebanon in all-out warfare.
Nostradamus Quatrain VI-25
Through Mars [War] contrary [to] the monarchy
Of the great fisherman [the Vatican] in ruinous trouble:
The young black king seizes the hierarchy,
The traitors act on a rainy day.
TRANSLATION
Nostradamus Quatrain VI-25
Through a [War] contrary [to the orders] of the monarchy [President] [It will bring] ruinous trouble [to the Pope and the Vatican]: The young black king seizes the hierarchy [by invoking Martial Law], The traitors [will] act on a rainy day. Can we interpret this as the military launching a strike on Iran and Syria contrary to the orders of the monarchy?
Contested President-Elect Mitt Romney immediately declares his support for the attack on Syria and Iran.
Nostradamus Quatrain VI-21
When those of the arctic pole unite together [Aquilon NATO],
In the Orient [China] great terror and fear:
The newly elected [one], supports the great trembling [war],
Rhodes (Greece), Byzantium (Turkey) stained with Barbarian [Islamic] blood.
Barack Obama immediately declares that he is still the Commander and Chief of the military until the Supreme Court decides who is President. The ensuing chaos will drag on for months until there is an actual change in the Supreme Court. Obama may soon appoint a judge with a last name gaining with an “L”.
I believe this is a prediction about the Supreme Court and a battle over Executive Power. Anthony Kennedy or Elaina Kagen is K… Clarence Thomas is Th… Originally, I had suggested that Robert A. Levy, former head of the CATO institute, might be on Obama’s short-list for an open seat on the court.
Nostradamus Quatrain I-81
Nine set aside from the human flock,
Removed from judgment and counsel:
Their fate determined on departure,
K.,Th., L., dead, banished, astray.
The newly shaped court will not rule favorably for Mitt Romney. He will not be placed as the President of the United States.
Nostradamus Presage 56
November He shall not be placed, the New Ones expelled.
The black king from afar and the Great One hold hard:
Recourse to arms. Exiles further expelled,
Consoled to sing victory, not liberty.
America will be split apart in a Second Civil War.
Kindest Regards,
Stu ”
Stu’s website is The Age of Desolation here. Yep, nearly impossible task Stu’s got: It’s like having a couple of locks, having the tumblers fall into place, seeing how everything fits togethere and then trying to set it put into print before events overtake us.
Of, there’s always the chance that Sandy and a whole lot more is just blow-back from the supposed war with extraterrestrial forces going on down in the Antarctic...
Slow Leaners & Nuclear Power
Every once in a while a story comes along that “speaks to me” on a lot of different levels. Since I run a semi-respectable alternative news site here (focus on economics, especially longwave economics which is about the 30-year ‘tides’ in the economy) I happen to get a fair number of press releases to shuffle through looking for what’s really going on that’s somehow not making it into the MSM.
Take, for example, this story which showed up this morning courtesy of the UK Department of Energy and Climate Change. You gotta love it!
“Ministers welcome Hitachi new nuclear investment programme UK
Government Ministers today welcomed the announcement that Japanese technology firm Hitachi Ltd has acquired Horizon Nuclear Power, the venture set up in 2009 by RWE and E.ON, in a deal that will help the UK meet its energy security and carbon reduction goals, and bring a massive economic benefit.
In what it describes as the start of a 100 year commitment to the UK, Hitachi this morning confirmed that it intends to progress with Horizon Nuclear Power’s plans to build between two and three new nuclear plants at Wylfa on Anglesey and the same at Oldbury in Gloucestershire. In total this new infrastructure could generate power equivalent to up to 14 million homes over 60 years. The first plant could be feeding electricity into the grid in the first half of the 2020s.”
So, one might ask one’s self “Self: What is a company headquartered at 6-6 Marunouchi 1-chome Chiyoda-ku Tokyo, 100-8280 doing acquiring a company in Britain that’s all-in with nuke power?”
My first answer was pretty obvious: “Slow learners, maybe?”
But upon reflection (10-15 seconds worth, anyway) a deeper and more serious structural problem of the current economically driven world emerges: The UK has pretty much passed its North Sea oil output peak despite the wet-dream babbling of “self-replenishing well” theorists who manage to not mention that event in wells do refill over time, that time might be 10,000 years.
Which, oh, by the way, we don’t have.
While politely avoiding the use of the word “squandering” I did a further 10-seconds of research to discover that the North Sea decline was obvious in 2005, as noted here.
And that gets us to the reality which is not often-enough clearly stated in the MSM: Yes nuclear power is ugly, rotten, stuff which is ripe for terrorist attacks and more, but the world really is running out of power and – in retrospect – the 9/11 “terrorist” attacks put a huge damper on tourist, air travel, hotels, rental cars, and the whole “wandering the world for the hell of it…”
Like a persistent cocklebur in your socks that you can’t see, the theme here – steered hurricanes, pseudo-terror, and quakes of questionable origin – there is a common theme: All are serving to constrain the movement of people, reduce consumption of resources, and expand the power of government to decree and direct.
While China’s off building a huge land army (presumable to challenge the West in potentially oil-rich but not-yet-developed ‘Stans in the sandbox, a three-part pattern seems to emerge:
Terrorism as an industry and means to constrain wasteful energy uses (like recreational travel).
Promotion of wars to secure those footholds the West presently has in oil-rich areas, and last but not least…
Deals to keep ‘dirty nuclear power’ keeping the lights on as long as possible to prevent the global economy from collapsing too early.
All of which gets me to the question implied in the Hitachi – UK government press release: “Is Hitachi deserving of kudos for helping keep the lights on in the UK and helping to minimize energy shortages and foreign exchange deficits in the future? Or, as one might wonder, given their headquarters in Japan, are they a bunch of very, very slow learners?”
—
We also note the involvement, earlier on in Horizon Nuclear Power of the German company RWE. A little bit of a story here:
Back in 1970-or 1980-something, a colleague at the time Kirk Williamson and I snagged a regional SDX award for tracing some uranium hexafluoride which one of my sources had told me was sitting on the Port of Seattle’s docks awaiting shipment to Hanford.
The award was for sniffing out the trafficking in uranium done at the corporate level during the Cold War. Essentially, RWE (if I remember the story right) had contracts for fuel roads in West Germany. But because of regulatory this and that’s, it was having a hard time meeting commitments.
So what happened was yellowcake was mined in Russia, partially refined there to the hexafluoride, and then shipped on a freighter (the Cordelaria Express, or something like that – remember this was about 25-years ago) to the Port of Seattle where I’d picked up the scent of a story when a waterfront worker told me about how the State of Washington health officials were monitoring it.
To make a long story longer, the hexafluoride was shipped to (Exxon) Hanford, where, after a series of a dozen one-question phone calls over 3 weeks, or so, the full picture came out.
And I learned something really important there: What we had was a West German company, orchestrating the mining of Russian uranium and refining (near St. Petersburg) and then shipping via La Havre, France to Hanford (to keep everything nice and legal. Then to the Port of Seattle, Hanford, and eventually it kept the lights on in West Germany.
(The story was picked up at the time by the Boston Globe which owned the radio station (KMPS, Seattle) at the time.
But the point of that investigation showed me – and it was the punch line to the multi-part radio report – was that despite the supposed Cold War with the Soviet Union, it was largely a sham and, I predicted, would soon end, since corporate trade would demand it.
So when I look at modern-day “terrorism” I reflect on how the real nuclear trade was going on just beneath the surface back in the late 1970′s- early 1980′s period and wonder about the modern analogs today.
Deeper reflection still has me wondering about the wars, the energy companies, and the reality of Peak Oil which just under the surface seems to be turning energy companies into “desperate midwives.”
Take November 9th Off?
Readers Writes: On Storm Coverage
From a one-time New York resident:
“Greetings, George -
You wrote: “With the wind at New York’s East Village weather station gusting a lousy 28 knots peak when I looked earlier, what has been the rush to close down the city – and more importantly, the stock market is having a weather closure for the first time in 27-years – at this particular time?”
It makes a lot of sense to shut things down, George, given that the storm is forecast to dump very high amounts of rain on the city. Record amounts, they’re saying. Four out of five rush hour commuters to Manhattan use mass transit at some point in their journey, namely trains and busses, and mostly that’s trains. Most of the 2 million (my estimate) commuters into New York’s central business district (Manhattan) use a train somewhere along their journey – either the city subway, the NY-NJ PATH trains, or any of the surface lines from the in-state or out-of-state suburbs: the Long Island Railroad, Metro-North, Amtrak.
The subway and the surface train lines handle normal rainfalls without a problem, but abnormally high rainfalls that result in significant accumulations can play havoc with electrical and mechanical equipment, impeding normal operations, leading to blocked tracks and long delays.
Other commuters drive to work or take commercial busses. Extremely heavy rainfalls can accumulate in parts of major arteries to depths sufficient to stop a car engine. Tunnels may become flooded. Storm gusts of up to 80 mph will make travel on the city’s many bridges unsafe.
So we’re talking about potentially long and uncomfortable commutes. Maybe a third of your office will arrive late after having been stuck for a couple of hours in a train or a long traffic jam. If I managed to make it to work anyway I would sure want to leave early to compensate for the extra long trip home.
Plus, people are going to be worried about their homes — are we going to get flooded out? Will the wind push a tree through my bay window? School is closed, so who will mind the kids? I think they made a good call. – - – - - New York local news says the Governor has activated a few thousand National Guardsmen as a precautionary measure. A thousand of them will be stationed in Long Island.
– - – - -
The Metropolitan Transit Authority says that average weekday ridership on MTA-affiliated trains and busses is over 8,500,000.

I don’t have much time for listening to music, but sometimes when I’m doing chores I put on some streaming audio and listen to classical music. May I recommend to you “www.wnyc.org” and “www.xlnc1.org“. Radio Australia also has some good classical music programming. ”
That might be worth a sample…

Then there was this from our reader in the Philippines:
“Dear George,
My daughter and her husband are scheduled to leave for NYC on Nov 1. This is so the husband can do the NYC Marathon on Nov 4.
Checking with the NYC Marathon website, my daughter said all systems are a go with rerouting in certain areas due to the floods and other damage. We have been watching CNN all day and I guess that is not a great idea.
As a mother, I can see the danger because ground services at Kennedy and elsewhere like subway, bus and taxis might be at a standstill or have lines 6 blocks long. i’m in shock about the timing of all these calamities, especially since your election is just days away also. Will there be a strong reaction if elections are called off? Will they make it to the airport in time, in the event of a strong reaction?
Or maybe I may be an overreacting Mother, who has been reading George Ure, Clif High, Patrick Geryl all this time? Your input will really clear up my misgivings…hopefully. ”
Naw, I wouldn’t worry about coming to NYC for that..might bve a few disruptions, but every time I’ve been there, Midtown has had disruptions of some kind, or another. Just keep checking the marathon website… Might want to call the hotel and confirm they get power back on, though.
On the other hand, if they were planning to stick around and vote while they’re here, that might be a different deal, lol.
Write when you break even…

November: Noodles & Nightmares
The arrival of November next Thursday promises more than the usual assortment of entertainment – even for a Presidential year. We’ve got a tremendous number of changes coming down the pike. With the election – and the fiscal cliff we’re teetering on next year – we’re at one of history’s curious inflection points: If we break one way, high rates of inflation, soaring gold, and rising energy prices appear. But breaking the other? Well, gold collapses, the Depression gets rolling with a second leg down right away, and energy stays cheap mainly because no one has money, or much of anywhere to go. Some choice, huh? Before we get to the eggs and hashbrowns, let’s start with coffee and a few headlines…such as the weather report on Sandy…
