Bots vs. Sniper: Quality of Fit?
(Thursday - preopen) With the overnight arrest of and alleged suspect in the DC sniper case, we're anxiously awaiting details as to the whether this is the main suspect, or if this is somehow a sideshow to the main event. But, if it turns out this is the 42 year old alleged suspect (and a 17 year old companion), then we would have at least a partial fit with the web bot output. You may recall that last week we posted the following interpretation based on a reader's input (still listed below the charts down toward the bottom of this page for your reference):
So if we pull together what would be a possible fit? Perhaps if you reread the web bot output below and see if it could be describing a current or recently separated Marine (Quantico is 34 miles from Falls Church, 75 miles from Baltimore) - or some other branch of the service training paratroops with sniper expertise and experience jumping from or traveling in, on, or around C-17's (the globe above). Maybe someone with a psycho/medical separation and Kosovo experience (where C-17's were used extensively) or delayed combat stress. "Work commands respect" sure sounds like military training, for example.
With the arrests overnight, we're waiting to find out if the main suspect (if indeed that's who's in custody):
Did the recently separate from the military? The press reports are that the person apprehended overnight was in the Tacoma/Ft. Lewis area in January where riffle shots from a (high powered) rifle were heard.
Was the suspect a paratrooper or had he made jumps from a Globe Master (C-17) or is there some other "globe above" that the bots meant?
Was the shooting in Alabama the Fire (ing) to the South that the bots were alluding to?
What was the date of separation from the service.
How critical were the Tacoma neighbors calls about the shooting in January? Recall the bots had referenced
Lastly, the [Neighbors] entity
shows aspects of "danger" and "persevering", as though the shooter
will be caught as a result of a [Neighbor] realizing who the shooter is,
and then informing authorities.
The rest seems to fit - family problems figured into the bot output and the alleged suspect certainly seems to fit there. So as the details come out, we'll be watching to see how many other points fit. Like we've said all along, the web bots look at changes down at the quantum level that percolate up into consciousness. While it appears the bots got a number of points right, there's almost no way to "prove" that they were right.
But in the larger context of how they have done in providing general information (tipping points) and so on, we think that there are enough hits from the project

The prediction in late September of an attack on "house or assemblage" prior to the anthrax attack
The prediction of an attack on a commemorative event (American 587 on Veteran's Day)
The most recent events surrounding the sniper case.
With China running a much larger project than ours (and sweeping a million lines of code to our 2048 bite snippets - which would add contextual depth and additional layers of processing to the think tank's seven layer methodology), we believe that the U.S. is quickly losing the opportunity to keep the high ground in what we believe will be an important technology in the future...seeing the future from the quantum potential level as reflected in linguistic shifts.
Oh yeah, one more thing. That reader who sent in the military link interpretation of the bots also sent along this which we didn't post at the time.
We're waiting to hear if the alleged suspect had perhaps done time in which unit up at Ft. Lewis? If it turns out that the suspect was in Airborne, we should send reader Edward M. some kind of prize for an incredibly good take on reading the web bot output.
[Follow Up, July 2003: At the end of the rampage, 10 people were dead, each killed by a single bullet. During the search for the suspect(s) the military deployed military aircraft, fulfilling the web bot's "global circling overhead" (an RC-7 airborne recon unit). On October 24, two men were taken into custody, with the older of the two apparently serving in the 101st Airborne (a bot aspect fulfilled) and police acted in part of a tip from a neighbor - another prediction fulfilled.]
Waiting for a War?
(Wednesday - preopen) As a reader of this site, you no doubt recall that in many past articles, I have expressed the view that not only is war inevitable, but they form one of the most important backdrops to investment. Among the ideas I've kicked around:
This morning, there are two very interesting articles that I would call your attention to. This first is a Washington Times news story about an Italian journalist who sees a war between the West and Islam. The article is available here: http://www.washtimes.com/world/20021023-18874592.htm
The second is a New York Post article deals with the amount of land (83% of all available) that is presently occupied (and arguably overworked) by humans. It's available online here: http://www.nypost.com/news/worldnews/60357.htm.
This weekend, it might be interesting to build a series of scatter charts and look at them in a stacked manner (think of this as writing a chart of several slices of transparent bread and then looking at what evolves) to discover, if we can, any areas of likely future conflict and opportunities for investment. We'll see how much time there is. But in the meantime, the two article above fit into the Urban Survival worldview that the presently evolving Second Depression is playing out much differently than the last one because it is being enacted against the backdrop of a complexly dimensioned global war that is being reported as discrete skirmishes (such as Indian vs. Pakistan or U.S. vs. Iraq) rather than as a complex whole.
I am continuously amazed that my one-time colleagues who report the news in the U.S. have allowed themselves to be "dumbed-down" to reporting 15-second "events" without context. The role of good journalists should be to report events within context of contemporary events. To be in the 30-second "sound bite" box is thrilling, if the story is not extensible, like an apartment building or earthquake. But where complex interactions of global warfare are involved, such as Gulf War Two which now seems slated for after the elections, world events are like your hand squeezing a partially inflated balloon. If you squeeze hard with one finger, the balloon will just pop out somewhere else. So it is with the global war over resources, religion, and food.
We're in a lull now, but unless a lot of natural resources are sudden discovered, or half the world's population vanishes, investing in security and resources sounds like a pretty good plan.
Monday's Agenda
(10/21/02 - preopen) This morning, we've got two three things to go over. First is the latest web bot output which comes amid word that the web bots are being shut down for a while. Remember, they are a project that is fitted in when resources allow. This week, the bots ended up being focused on matters other than the sniper killings. Secondly, there was something very curious about the sniper search involving the use of spy planes. Then last, but certainly not least, some comments on where the market must go before I'll become a believer in the rally we've seen over the past couple of weeks. The previous web bot output and comments are below this week's charts for reference.
Web Bot Output:
This week's bot output is likely to be the last for a while, as the project only runs sporadically because it's a side use of a lot of heavy duty processing and bandwidth. The data produced by the bots on a typical run is pretty good sized. Each bot report is 2048 bites - and you can work out the mat from there, but remember that not only is there a phrase involved, there is also the email header and source information. It's not the kind of thing you can run on a single PC even with a cable or DSL connection. So this week, instead of a focus on sniper activity, we get a general view of the world and what's ahead:
Note that there was a miscommunications in the run this time. My
methodology can be used either to populate entities or to seek for a
pre-populated entity. It is the latter case which is used to locate
developing entities for specific situations/event such as the
shootings in the WA DC area. These are basically the same
methodology, merely different sides of the same coin. I had
intended to run the specifically focused entity model this time.
Unfortunately, in the confusion of shutting down the business [project], the
more general entity model was run instead. As the data came in
late Saturday night, and the servers are now powered down, it will
be impossible to rectify the this with another run.
My apologies.

Lots of indications that [Manifestation] will be the prime driving
entity for this next period (decadies/ten days). This entity developed
on its own as well as appearing as attributes in other entities'
aspects. So I would expect that this will be one of those news filled
periods where many changes appear with some speed.
In a general sense, this period looks to be ruled by "opposition" as
an aspect.
An entity arises representing a [Meeting] of an organization [likely
the UN] in which points of view diverge too much for an agreement
to be reached. However in small matters, there is the appearance of
cooperation and progress. Within this meeting there will be a clearly
visible separation of groups of like-minded individuals. This
separation will not be visible by a moving apart/separation, but
rather by aspects of "separate voices" reinforced with attributes of
"disharmony".
Other aspects of this entity reinforces the idea that the meeting
referred to represents the UN discussions of the USA War Party vs.
their Enemies. These aspects specifically include "guard" with
attributes of "against" and "evil people". There are also other
aspects though, including "against" and "mistakes" which suggest
that things are not going to go smoothly and the situation is weight
toward risk, not success. Further, this entity holds aspects of "lose
mobility" with attribute of "medium" and "temporarily". There is also
several aspects relating to "failure" with attributes of "manifest
(actual)", and "force people together", and "force unity". These
seem to indicate that an attempt to bully the group into an un-felt
unity will result in failure. Again, this entity contains reinforcing
characteristics for this interpretation through the aspects of
"misbehaving" carrying attributes of "abound", "scattering", "hot
winds (tempers?)".
A final aspect of the [Meeting] entity shows that "evil people
(terrorists?)" will be "forced upon us". In both cases, the attributes
of each aspect include both "manifest" and "accident". This
suggests that some event will occur at or associated with this
meeting. As terrorism in the past has been defined by our entities
as "evil + accident" and "military + accident", it may be safe to
assume that a terrorist event intrudes on the [Meeting]. If so the
modifying aspects include "opposition" carrying attributes of
"isolation", further magnified by aspect of "supplies/contact"
carrying an attribute of "cut off". Other related aspects include
"danger" carrying "achieves his goal", and "estrangement" with
attributes of "naturally together". This last suggests that the event
manifesting at the meeting will be designed to drive a wedge
between groups who naturally belong united. It may succeed.
Also note that the entity of the [Meeting] has an aspect of "fire"
again carrying an attribute of "manifest". Likely not a good sign.
A new entity is emerging within the larger entity of the [Populace].
This new entity is uniquely identifying itself as [Salted Game].
Note that entity names are taken from one or more of their primary
aspects or from the theme that runs through their aspects. In this
case the other possible aspects from which to name it include
"spoiled meat", "old meat", "poisonous hatred", "public
humiliation", and "poisonous meat". I chose [Salted Game] as this a
very unique entity and is definitely developing around a very tight
theme. The attributes of these aspects suggest that a person or
group who lacks authority to do so, will attempt to impose
punishment (which aspect carries attributes indicating deserved
punishment). This attempt will backfire and bring humiliation upon
the imposer group/person. The message of this entity is clearly that
some without authority to be a punisher will bring hatred to
themselves for the attempt. They will be placed in a humiliating
position. There are so many possible scenarios in the world today
which fit this picture that it is difficult to derive one from the
development of this entity.
Yet another separating entity (pre-existed in last few runs and was
seen separating after this last tipping point), is the [Reform] entity
which is gaining in size and diversity of attribute while consolidating
the number of aspects and narrowing their theme. Suffice it to say
that the "manifest" aspect is gaining within this entity as are the
primary aspects of "energetic reform" and "renewed establishment
of justice". These aspects carry attributes of "overcoming", and
"obstacles", and "delusions".
Additional impacts during this period will be "manifest" in the area
of [Government]. The entity representing government in all its form
shows many aspects reinforcing "manifestation". These include
"bring to completion", "opening event", "forces (with an attribute of
releases)". Augmenting the already defined characteristic aspects
for government as a concept, I now find that new variant aspects
and magnifying attributes are emerging within this descriptor.
Specifically, the aspect of "sack" (as in a bag, or other flexible
container) has repeatedly emerged with the rather striking attributes
of "firmly tied up", "tightly sealed", "carefully tied", and others in
same vein. This entity suggests that we will be seeing both a
manifesting "release of forces" from [Government] as well as a
consolidation of power or control. Again too common in too many
places to make specific interpretations as to where this will arise.
However, there are cautions indicated in some of the new aspects
to the [Government] entity. We have "lead" with attributes of "tries
to", and "goes astray". Further there are repeating and rising
references to geography of "west" and "south" as magnifiers to the
local level aspect of "earth". We also find secondary and tertiary
aspects of "manifest", "this week", "circle", "square", and "solid
(amplified by attribute of bodies)". Further there are "movement",
"straight line", "magnitude", "heaven/sky (amplified by repeated
references to symbols)" as aspects. Moving into primacy from a
secondary position are the related aspects of "calm" and "still". As
these are rising aspects, one interpretation is that the
[Government] entity will have a burst of manifest energy and
movement for positioning followed by a rapid calming into a waiting
stance. This clearly can be interpreted as applying to the current
situation vis-à-vis US and Iraq.
Lastly, relating to the above entities and the repeating theme of
"manifestation", I should like to note that the general 'feeling' that
the model provides this interpreter is one of dinosaurs battling and
large, ponderous events stumbling around the worldscape. In such
difficult times, it furthers one to recall the wisdom of caution. A low
profile and a reliance on self control and building an inner reserve
in troubled times enhances personal survival through chaos. In a
field of dancing/fighting dinosaurs, the smoldering fire igniting is
likely to be crushed out.
The Plane
Below the charts, I've left all of last week's interpretations and the original copy of the web bot output in the sniper case. Next week, I will put this extended page up as an indexed page, because if the sniper hasn't been found, it will be interesting to reference the work in the future as things unfold to see how the bots did (or didn't) when the case is concluded.
This morning though, I just wanted to show you something that was very interesting to me. Here's the background. Last week I wrote about how the "globe above" reference by the bots could be to a C-17 aircraft. Well, this morning I found an article that said the spy plane being used would be an RC-7. What I found curious was the similarity of look between a Boeing C-17 and the DeHavilland RC-7:

So what's curious? Well, as you can see, both aircraft are high wing, four-engine, T-tail aircraft. While the RC-7 is a prop driven plane, you can't see the props when they are spun up. I just found it very interesting that the RC-7 being used looks so much like the C-17 which would fit the description of the "globe above".
Web Bots: A Reader Interpretation:
Nothing new from the web bots, but if the previous pattern holds, we can almost expect another tragic incident today. One reader has passed along what is an interesting possible "fit" with the bot outputs. Here it is...
"I’ve a theory and I need help in fleshing it out. I’m fairly well convinced that the shootings are diversionary. The theory involves Al-Qa’ida operatives that have infiltrated the military and are enlisting sympathizers within the military. Note the following rough scan of the verbiage of the Bots re: shooter;
Association with an organization [like masons, rotary, or military] Neighbors, high rank and the lowly, co-mingle without wealth or station separating them. (Possibly in the [branch of service not named out of respect].) Physical denial, Law of the clan, enforce order, home rules, firm seclusion within the family. Life is centered around group (camp?). Subservient. Drills, dogma, work commands, respect. Humiliation (training). Physical purification, men and maids in service. Dragging the servants along, held back (enlisting sympathizers). Must bring them along. Unity, chastity, austerity. Will be discovered by neighbors (who would suspect fellow military at first?).
Location? Some clues… fire to the South (small, devastating treasonous rebellion?). Split up into disparate entities. One of the separating entities carries attributes indicating an inferior man (low ranking). Not a high traffic area, difficult entry, barriers to entry, water returns, slope, woods having a difficult entry. Near water. Soggy marsh. Mounds. (I think that all of these descriptions match the Quantico Marine base, to the south of DC.) Flutters down together. (Perhaps parachutes during the height of a diversionary grand finale?) Globe above the sky…. (consider this as an example:

Maybe - maybe not. This is one reader's interpretation of what the web bots may be pointing toward, but we'll see in time. Still, it was an interesting enough interpretation to send me looking to learn a bit more about the the Globe Master (C-17) aircraft:

So if we pull together what would be a possible fit? 1) law of the clan. This is constantly reinforced in this entity with
many references to family structure and clan behavior gradients
(rules). Reinforcing this aspect are attributes which provide a clue
to the relationships involved; "overindulged", "internal remorse",
"enforce order", "knows his place", "home-rules","definitive
agreements", "remorse fades/disappears (indicating a temporary
condition like feeling glad to be safe at home), and lastly "firm
seclusion within the family".
2)Attend the sacrifice. As language resolves or reduces to
archetypes, this aspect may point to a religious association.
Specifically the attributes of the action of attending the sacrifice
point toward food and women. This aspect is filled with attributes of
denial, derail, food, center of social & religious life. There are also
attributes indicating a person whose life is austere and centered
around a group whose focus is other-worldly or as in denial of the
pleasures of life.
3) tempers flare in the family. This aspect also shows that the
group/clan/family has had too great a severity (toward physical
denial) and that this has led to remorse being evident. This is
reinforced by the image of [woman and children laughing] which is
archetypically interpreted as indicating humiliation. Attributes of this
aspect also reinforce the idea of a religious community in that we
have "unity", "chastity", and "austerity" showing here as well as in
other aspects.
4)Descriptive aspects for this entity include [domestic
management], [physical facilities], king] (usually indicative of a
relationship indicator, i.e. subservient, rather than a real member of
royalty), [character exercises] (meaning drills, dogma, routine
activity), and lastly [right influence].
5) Descriptive meta aspects for this entity include [work commands
respect], [character of master of the horse], [majestic attire], and
[managing].
Now remember, as you read this, I am not "picking on Marines". They're 24-karat patriots. What we're trying to determine is what kinds of people/things/situations/locations would fit what the bots say - so another tragedy can be avoided. Semper Fi. Law of the clan? Or some other branch? This is not a precise science - not by any stretch - but I'd sure encourage the military to run a records search for recent seps that could fit.

The foreign mass media believe that this might have been the refinery Ras Tanura. This complex also includes oil terminals for tankers. Ras Tanura reportedly ships about five million barrels of oil to the USA daily."
Now We're getting pissed
Earlier today, we posted an update on the sniper case that identified some of the characteristics of the eventual turning in of the snipers by "neighbors". If you are a first time visitor to this site, please read the items below in reverse order.
With the additional input this afternoon, and coupled with the obvious, let's see if we can connect some dots and see if it works out.
First: The sniper made a clean getaway - which to us suggested the sniper lives near the Falls Church area, if not specifically there. As one reader interpreted the outputs:

The Think Tank says maybe on the Glebe Road reference, but unlikely on the rest: in fact probably not (but they live in a probability driven world):
Don't buy the glebe reference. If is a place name and picked up by
the spiders then it shows up as a place name. This more of a
descriptive reference. Makes sense? This describes what people
around this place think of it at an allegorical or lexically abstracted
sense.
This technology (see below) is based on a whole new way of looking at events as driven by probabilities and as such, the proximity to Leesburg Pike has become more interesting than ever. Why?
A fair number of notes came in questioning our motivation. Here's a response I sent in to the think tank with questions. The > are the questions of a reader to which responses are offered. Think Tank to skeptics/questioners::

I like astrologers. Those I have met who are genuine are highly
intuitive and connected to the real web of what's what. You can tell
instantly who in that field has the bona fides by their attitude as
regards their center.

Something apparent as one is moving through the veil. I have yet
to encounter those who know, who do know about the knowing. So
in crossing the veil, a choice is made at that point, not fate
determined but rather mindset/goals/values chosen as a guide once
over the other side. In my case, I chose wisely. Service to
others/omni humanity is the call, refinement of self is the
discipline/tool, even down to the manifest (vegetarianism) and up
to the attitude. I go questing, not manipulating. Nor would I be so
sure that manipulation will not lead to evil (for all the bad things
done in the name of someone's good/god) and so do not seek that
road at all. However, suffering, as I do, the compassion disease,
one must do what one can in the furtherance of all creatures
manifest and to take unto oneself what pain may be best borne
here, after all, that higher standard is a bitch to meet It has a
tendency to turn one into a hard case, over worked and stressed
out. But, basically, who does the hard thing?....
As I told the inquiring mind (a very good thing in our view) We are not interested in publicity, but in saving people's lives, yup - got our attention. There's no way to describe the humanity of the people who are literally losing sleep to plot the future course of these events.
Get it? This is high tech applied to the future. This is a very crude, out of focus device that looks at rumors and innuendoes on the web and projects forward. Right? You know how rumors are heard in advance of facts in many cases? This is the guts of the web bots.
Partly perhaps, but this is technology in its infancy. Sort of like comparing the 1948 transistor with a 2.4 GHz P-4. Still, absent anything else, did anything else specifically predict "church" and "Falls Church " in advance beside this technology and people using it as a guide? There's more on how it works and what it means in the sections that follow.
Our best is that the sniper will be caught by neighbors - perhaps driven to report by the predicted anomalous behavior prior to this most recent event.
Our most hopeful sign???? A report tonight on CNN:
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. military agreed on Tuesday to help hunt for a sniper who has been terrorizing the Washington area as police said new evidence gleaned from the latest murder could help them catch the serial killer.
A senior defense official told Reuters that Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld had agreed to provide U.S. military surveillance aircraft and crews to help hunt for the killer whose latest victim was shot dead on Monday while loading her car with shopping bags.
The U.S. military is forbidden by law to provide police duties domestically but the defense official, who asked not to be identified, said Rumsfeld had agreed to a request to provide the military aid.
The official declined to be more specific and stressed that the military would not be directly involved in police work and would be under the supervision of civilian law enforcement.
"We are trying to give as little information as possible to the person on the ground," the official said.

This is boundary physics and it's like looking through a telescope with Vaseline on the lenses. Close enough to see a major danger, but far enough from it to make projections tough, especially with another event not more than 300 yards away.
The fact that it was a head shot is important - and what may be key - is did that auto dealer today miss a bullet? And if so. It all lends credence to our work suggesting the last paper note left at scene was a diversionary tactic. The real home is likely the Falls Church area.
More as it happens...latest web bots follow. Don't look for immediate results: Web bot events seem to happen 48-144 hours later than our forecasts. That would put the next killing Friday or so at around 2 PM based on four-days of hysterisis in the underlying quanta. We'll see, huh? Remember, this is my interpretation not the 'bot's. Their comments stand - ready for us to decipher.
Tuesday 2:20 PM Web Bot Update
Normally I work straight through my lunch hour for my employer. However, today I'm taking a few minutes to post this latest update on the DC Sniper case. In light of our "near direct hit" (more below), the think tank did another run to see what the web bots could pull out of the noise. By noise, I mean that web bots go out on the Internet and listen to noise - rumors - idle chat between people. They then report back the anomalous words and phrases that precede events when graphed as scatter charts over time. If you have any connections to law enforcement agencies in the Washington DC area, please feel free to pass this site information along. Here's the latest outputs which we pass up through known military channels a few hours ago:
The results are in. Of course, with so much of the verbiage of the
spew focused on this event/incident, it was difficult to separate and
reduce our inputs. In other words, the anomaly rate was so high
that filters had to be placed which run the risk of skewing the
results. And also, this use of the technique toward such a narrow
focus is risk filled from its inception, like using Hubble to count
blades of grass on your lawn. Not its intended focus and very
difficult to separate out the weeds with this level of resolution. That
being the case, the best interpretation of the data I can make is
below.
The sniper will be caught as a result of actions/words of the
[Neighbors]. The inputs show that there is arising a contact or
communications with [Neighbors] (likely of the shooters) rather than
the victims. The aspects of the entity involve repeated references
to neighbors, location, modesty, inner conviction and an odd
reference to "flutters down together". Additionally, the attributes of
the neighbors show self-reinforcing constructs such as "guileless",
"face of circumstance" (as though the neighbor will be placed as
such when the shooter is found). We also see that the neighbors
include both the "high rank" and the "lowly" and that these co- mingle
without the issue of wealth or station separating them. Likelyagain a reference to an organizational affiliation of the shooters'
such as a church [religious assemblage] and or an association with
an organization [like masons, rotary, or even the military] where
issues of rank are not visible due to the structure of the
organization. The entity of the [Neighbors] also shows vaguely
geographic aspects such as "slope of a hill", and "no plain without
slope". These are reinforced by attributes of "water returns (runs
downhill)". Also there is a curious reference to "globe above the
sky" as in the earth above heaven (at the archetypical level). This is
a specific reference and may point to a geographic indicator such
as sign or billboard or place name. Lastly, the [Neighbors] entity
shows aspects of "danger" and "persevering", as though the shooter
will be caught as a result of a [Neighbor] realizing who the shooter is,
and then informing authorities. The reference to danger is clearly
and attribute of threat to the shooter not the other way around.
The entity used as shooter model shows the following
aspects/attributes.
1) law of the clan. This is constantly reinforced in this entity with
many references to family structure and clan behavior gradients
(rules). Reinforcing this aspect are attributes which provide a clue
to the relationships involved; "overindulged", "internal remorse",
"enforce order", "knows his place", "home-rules","definitive
agreements", "remorse fades/disappears (indicating a temporary
condition like feeling glad to be safe at home), and lastly "firm
seclusion within the family".
2)Attend the sacrifice. As language resolves or reduces to
archetypes, this aspect may point to a religious association.
Specifically the attributes of the action of attending the sacrifice
point toward food and women. This aspect is filled with attributes of
denial, derail, food, center of social & religious life. There are also
attributes indicating a person whose life is austere and centered
around a group whose focus is other-worldly or as in denial of the
pleasures of life.
3) tempers flare in the family. This aspect also shows that the
group/clan/family has had too great a severity (toward physical
denial) and that this has led to remorse being evident. This is
reinforced by the image of [woman and children laughing] which is
archetypically interpreted as indicating humiliation. Attributes of this
aspect also reinforce the idea of a religious community in that we
have "unity", "chastity", and "austerity" showing here as well as in
other aspects.
4)Descriptive aspects for this entity include [domestic
management], [physical facilities], king] (usually indicative of a
relationship indicator, i.e. subservient, rather than a real member of
royalty), [character exercises] (meaning drills, dogma, routine
activity), and lastly [right influence].
5) Descriptive meta aspects for this entity include [work commands
respect], [character of master of the horse], [majestic attire], and
[managing].
The entity model shows action in the course of a very short future
time period. This action aspect is characterized as [Retreat]. There
are attributes of "retreats into own thoughts", and "retreats -
dragging the servants along" which reinforce the aspect.The detail attributes for this action aspect show "halted
retreat"," burden", "must bring them along", "men & maids in
service", "retires", "exhaustion", "doubt", "held back", and "bring
purification (as though a physical rather than emotional purification)".
What is curious about this action component is that it indicates that
there are two or more persons involved. It clearly shows that the
retreat involves a separation of the entity, refers to a pair, and then
shows the split up into disparate entities. One of the separating
entities carries attributes indicating an inferior man, while the other
shows emotive aspects of being "in cheerful retreat"
----- (and a bit later) ----
shooting children is taught in OBL training camps. Rational is that
parents (even high placed govt officials) will rush to protect their
own rather than do job when children are at risk.
shooting individuals through ambush in order to paralyze local govt
is taught in OBL training camps. Could this be a 'resistance' style
operation designed to take our eyes off somewhere else? .

Here's what I read:
"Motorways north and west of Washington were blocked off by police, who were stopping all vehicles and recording their number plates. Officers with bloodhounds could be seen searching a grassy knoll by a church on the other side of the main highway opposite the car park as a possible hiding spot for the sniper. "

Did the Web Bots Nail Falls Church? (Tuesday 7:45 AM)
Background: While I was on the road last week, I posted an update to this site where the web bots made a startling prediction. You can scroll down this page to the headline "Possible Sniper Parameters" and see the original comments from the web bots. These were posted here last week - and early Monday morning I added that the web bot reference to "church" was likely a reference to Falls Church, Virginia. Sadly, the latest sniper shooting was in Falls Church.
The fact that the bots got "church" may mean that an arrest is imminent in the case. The web bot output (now a week old) was that:
The shooter will be caught as a result of having to
'renew his weapons' prior to the incident involving the church.
Waiting will be a key element in this capture.
Technical Description of Web Bots: For those who are not familiar with the web bots, here's a thumbnail description of the technology. The actual "web bots" are a class of spiders/agents/wanderers that roam the Internet, sub like the spiders and agents that index search engines. The difference is that these particular "bots" are deployed with some special tools embedded. One of the tools is some logic (in prolog) that uses an onboard lexicon engine with a "vocabulary" of about 125,000 words. The "bots" then monitor various web sites where we can expect anomalies to occur. For example, the bots like hanging around those language translation sites and certain kinds of alt.news.groups.
When something catches the "bot's ear", a snapshot of the data surrounding the anomalies (2048 bytes to be precise) and then emails them back to a small server farm (described to me as 9-servers sitting on a T-1). These data points are further processed to determine their "aspects". The way language works is that all words are described by other words such that most words involve a time, a direction or location, perhaps a gender, and so on.
The next step is these "aspects" are then plotted in a program called IntelliCad. This allows the "think tank" to put the aspects up - think of it as a scatter chart, with a bunch of dots. Now, over some period of time, these collections of dots centralize around particular points that describe aspects.
The bots were not designed to catch snipers (although the output has been interesting so far). Rather, they were designed to capture economic data. For example, they caught the all time high of Microsoft right to within two weeks.
As described elsewhere on this site, the web bots have also been used to identify major "tipping points" - points in world affairs where something BIG happens. The first tipping point we published was back in July of last year where we forecast a major tipping point event. We speculated that the "tipping point" would be the ABM missile test, but in retrospect, what the bots seemed to be pointing toward was Sept. 11th. Immediately after that tragedy, we deployed the bots which forecast "an attack on house or assembly" - and this was followed with the anthrax attack.
We then made a forecast that in retrospect was probably the American 587 crash on Veteran's day last year, which the bots apparently referred to as an attack "on a commemorative date. We believe that attack was shoe bomber #1.

What are you doing now? We can't run the bots every day. The data set involved in the run was over 1-million data points (that puts the IntelliCad drawing size at about 25 feet square, by the way). One reason is the issue of feedback. The more we put on the site publicly, the more the model gets "polluted". When people repeat information from the bots (in emails and such), it causes feedback of a sort that distorts the model output. A second problem is financial. It takes a fair number of hours to send the bots off to work and then analyze the results. Everything so far has come out of two individuals pockets and good intentions. The effort comes strictly from a desire to develop technology to forecast the future - and if that happens to include some information that's useful (like MSFT's ATH) then cool - we'll maybe trade on that kind of information.
Who else uses this technology? Well, we proposed it to the DoD in November of last year but didn't make the second cut of a Broad Area Announcement request. But we do know that China is running a much larger version of the technology as detailed in one of the papers above. Other countries have likely deployed the same technology - we just happened to have swept part of the Chinese code.
Why wasn't our government interested? There's a certain mindset (or in bot terms an "aspect") of how intelligence agencies operate. For years and years they have been obsessed with getting better and better resolution, not better high-level overview input. Let's put it in terms of camera optics. The government's been almost solely focused on improving spy cameras to go from a focal length of 50 mm to 120 mm in small packages during the cold war to 500 mm to the equivalent of about 10,000 mm (for satellite work). So when a satellite is pointed at a group of men walking around Afghanistan, a tall fellow like OBL (6'5") stands out.
The technology we have today allows intelligence agencies to park a resource out in space and maybe see something of interest on the ground. License plates are tough, but certainly finding a sniper is possible.
The difficulty though is where to point the satellite resource. Right now, that's done based on several methodologies, but it's mostly a "best guess" scenario. What we believe the web bots do is improve the odds of looking in the right place by issuing parameters (aspects) that may be useful in weighting decisions on how to deploy the high resolution resources. It's an augmentation system. After 9/11, the bots suggested the OBL escape route (which we did not put on this site for obvious reasons) but we're not part of the "aiming" methodologies.
Is this real? Well, that's a real interesting question. The short answer is "yes", but the long answer is that there's some really weird stuff that happens in quantum physics. There are two defining works that you might want to read. The first is Dean Radin's work on how humans have a capability that may be demonstrated repeatedly that humans "know" about highly emotional events in advance. The second definitive work is the Princeton University EGG Project. Like the web bots, but with less "notice", the Princeton project also identified a major anomaly in advances of and during the WTC disaster. Read http://noosphere.princeton.edu/terror.html if you haven't already.
What are you saying? Essentially, based on what we are seeing with the web bots, the way reality happens goes something like this: Something happens in the collective human consciousness (perhaps back at the archetype level) that results in a very subtle shift of language and context. So subtle that even the web bots have a hard time picking it out, but they do. A little time goes by, and what was an entity continues to coalesce into a higher and higher probability. During this stage - as a real event is arising out of the quantum foam - the event may be perceived by certain people gifted in psychic powers. An example might be the fellow who had a vision the night before he was to have flown on an ill-fated DC-10 a number of years ago in Chicago. In some people, spontaneous precognition happens, I've had those experiences myself on a couple of occasions. As the event gets ever closer to happening in our shared "now", we begin to react to it in physically demonstrable ways: Radin's tests show we know something in advance and that notion is supported by the Princeton EGG work.
The web bots are sort of like an early warning system in this regard. They give us time before a "tipping point" or other event with a large scale impact on our collective consciousness. Is it real? Oh most certainly.
I don't know if you saw the movie with Arnold Schwarzeneger where he was being chased around by some Robo-Cop looking guy from the future. But if you remember the movie, the Robo-Cop looking guy had human form, was blasted, and then dissolved back into little globs of metal. What is apparently going on is sort of the reverse of that. Little quirks in the quantum foam evolve, go, and coalesce into real events and actions.
For the folks at the think tank, the technical challenge is how to build a better and better detector - and like radio - how do we get better at tuning into these "quantum advance waves" of pending reality. There is an incredibly powerful link between reality and language. Once you start to look for it, you'll see it in places you never thought of looking. In the Biblical Book of Genesis, for example, creation begins when "God said".
The web bots are a venture into that preconscious zone where language and quanta potentials exist without form or direction. The Bible describes this place as "without form and void". But then something happens, a voice or observer which may be all of us at a collective subconscious level, become the observers of a huge quantum physic's Schrodinger's cat experiment. Who is the Think Tank? Sorry. That's the one detail I can't share. The people involved lead quiet lives in the world of computer science - and believe me - they're really good at what they do. But in terms of press? Thanks but no thanks. Just think of them as a massively scaled down cross between "Mission Impossible" and "The Time Machine" that deals with computer issues at the quantum horizon. They have absolutely no interest in any contact, publicity, or public visibility. I'm fortunate in that we share a common interest in forecasting future events, which is how we got acquainted.

Like I said, the web bots are out on one of the frontiers of physics and computer science, but it's pretty darn curious.
Asymmetric Warfare
The world is a little different this week - but that may not have an effect upon markets for a while. What's different, of course, is that we are now facing a sea of smaller acts of terror than 9/11. The kind of act that kills anywhere from 50-250 people - and is scattered around the globe in ways that make defense against terrorism all but impossible.
The recent examples, of course, include:
What all of these have in common are that they acts of violence not by teams to 20, but small 2-3 person kinds of operations.
It's what the military strategists call asymmetric because although the U.S. is big and great, there's no way to defend against dozens of small attacks carried out by highly motivated (crazy) people.
While most people are comfortable in the view that "war hasn't broken out yet", the facts argue otherwise. The facts seem to suggest that whether the U.S. likes it or not, there is a world war being waged against the West and Western thought. How do we win? Well, that's the 64-trillion dollar question. Someone will win this war - but the question is now one of tactics.
The question is not whether the U.S. can win, but rather, is the U.S. prepared to engage in systematic terror in-kind for acts like 9/11, Bali, Shoe Bomber #1, and the rest? The populations of the world that are attacking us are, in their own way, susceptible to terrorist events. Historically, though, the U.S. has always fought "clean". Most of our enemies have not. Given a war with set boundaries, no enemy of the U.S. could prevail. It's recognition of this fact that weighed on the old Soviet Union, and in the end caused them to resign the game.
What lies before us is the challenge to both remain a free country, yet grant our leaders sufficient latitude of movement that they can fight this new war in a winnable way: In-kind terror. The difficulty is that if we grant our leaders the power to strike back where it will genuinely hurt our enemies, we risk becoming worldwide bullies led by people no better than the people against whom we fight.
Until the elections, I think we're in a sort of calm before the storm. Large acts of domestic violence today would only increase the chances of electing strong leaders. After the elections, I expect wide-spread domestic terror to return.
Meantime, don't expect the markets to fret about this. Denial is something defined by investor behavior.

We don't know how to get this to the right hands, but based on more than one million data points, the web bots have the following output on the Washington/Baltimore sniper case. If you know anyone in law enforcement who might be able to use any of this, you're welcome to pass it along:
An entity of a church (temple/assemblage, coming together with religion
central to the aspect) keeps appearing in the aspects. As does a lake. Both
are situated near a soggy marsh and near towering sources of pollution
(petroleum?). The church has some association with a governmental minister.
It also has
a prominent religious figure associated with it (likely the name of the
building). There are also aspects of a wedding,
near term involved. A large gathering is planned to take place shortly
relating to this wedding.
The sniper will renew his weapons (prior to assaulting the church). A
specific target is indicated (unlike previous shootings?).
The gathering shows attributes of involving a prince (religious not
necessarily governmental).
Aspects show a ruler approaching, a small sacrifice (appropriate to
holiday?).
As to the georgraphy involved, we see the church/temple in an area where
there is a
woods nearby. On one side (not necessarily next door but within a short
distance)
is a place of wheeling and dealing (a car lot? or gambling parlour?) and
on the other side, on the right when facing the building door, (again, not
necessarily next door, but close) will be a fruit stand
or supermarket with an open air component. The woods are across a wide(ish)
street from the church but not directly across, more to the right of
directly across. This is not, repeat not, a high traffic area. Many aspects
indicate an area in a downturn, not a bustling place.
There is a marshy, shallow depression in the woods which is wet at this
point in time (recent rain fall?).
There is a small mound within this woods. These are more like an
abandoned/neglected
area which went back to woods rather than a park. However, also in close
proximity to the church is a zoo (or the shooter has some association to a
zoo).
This last arises from an aspect of animals with attributes of collection so
it
might even be an association to a collection of dead or mounted critters in
the
shooters' past.
Further aspects of this site include a still lake,
waters feeding a marsh, a shallow depression heaped with small things (to
make a mound?),
"something in the air" = smell, pollution, smokestacks?. Also are
restrictions
(likely on the access to the woods, like 'don't walk here' signs or other
barriers to entry).
In a larger sense, the area of the church and the woods has attributes
indicating
a community project (urban renewal?);
trees growing amidst roots/stumps;
lots of growth (undergrowth and shrubs);
a 'fire' in the south (burn off flame from petroleum processing stack?
visible in the distant south).
Multiplicities of reinforcing attributes include:
Lots of attributes around the aspect of 'a departure to the south'.
Many references to 'deserted city".
Other attributes include:
Ascend, highest, belly, "no fear", soggy, south, zenith, noon, and sun.
Magnifying the references to the lake and the marsh are aspects of
"water evaporates" - a sewage treatment plant? Would fit with the references
to smell.
Or perhaps some other form of holding pond (still water).
There are also references to the woods having a 'difficult entry'.
There are several references to tongue/cheek/mouth/jaw. Also tongues
wagging. ?
The shooter will be caught as a result of having to
'renew his weapons' prior to the incident involving the church.
Waiting will be a key element in this capture.
This web bot output uses the same technology as our past outputs. You might remember the last time the bots mentioned an attack on a wedding we had that unfortunate mess in Afghanistan a few months back.
But there you have it: out from a web spider/bot that travels the web with a 125,000 word lexicon and reports anomalies back to us...that are then mapped in a huge Intellicad mapping process - and when we get concentrations of dots (like a scatter chart over time - so its three dimensional - we report aspects out of the model - and that's what we have on the sniper run.
It's sort of like tapping into preconscious thoughts - because lexicon shifts subtly before events - as the Princeton EGG project has shown.
