Shops, Merchants, & More!

On this page, you'll find some of the products and services that will help prepare you and your loved ones for whatever lies ahead - and along the way, improve the quality of your life.  Every time you shop at these merchants, you'll be helping to support www.urbansurvival.com, too.

Safeway.comSafeway has recently started home delivery services in Seattle, Portland, Sacramento, Greater SF, San Diego, LA and Las Vegas.  Tried by WebVan a while back, we think Safeway has learned from others and has made a commitment to getting it right.  Why shop when you can click and have the goodies show up with no hassle?

Ever wonder why George's old Porsche 944 looks so good?  Because he waxes it all the time?  No way!  His secret is this marvelous system called "5 Start Shine" which is looks better than wax, lasts nearly 200 washings (That's be years here in Florida) and its easy.  For those who like waxing cars every 3 to 5 years...

Yellowstone River Trading

As good as the Safeway.com home delivery service is, they don't usually carry things like case lots of freeze dried chicken for stocking your long term survival larder.  Yellowstone River Trading is usually not backlogged like some suppliers, either!

I don't care what the pitch from the cable companies is, I have yet to find a cable company that delivers the quality of DirecTV at the same price.  So if you are thinking about changing out cable and going to satellite, here's an outfit to fix you up pronto!
Going one step beyond eBay, BidZ.com is fast paced - almost frenzied - and features 3-minute auctions.  Just the thing if you're in a hurry and don't have 9-days to watch an item only to be outbid at the last minute by a bid sniper! Every time I buy a book, or need something, where do I always head first?  I admit to being skeptical of Amazon's business model in the early days, but this is a company that really delivered  - and that's saying a lot.  If you don't check Amazon's inventory and prices, you're probably making a mistake!
